Rusty Belles - heart lake

NOTICE - May 16 Update - Unfortunately, there wasn't enough interest this year for Heart Lake as we only have 9 paddlers with less than two weeks to go.   All those who paid will get a full refund in the coming day or so.  Stay tuned as we will arrange a late-season women's team somewhere.

The Rusty Belles women's collective team is excited to be back on track after a two-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  We are now OPEN for registration for our first event - the Toronto Women's Regatta at Heart Lake in Brampton.   Cost is a non-profit $82 which includes 3 practices (Tuesday evenings) and the Heart Lake Regatta.

This team is open to interested female members of our regular Rusty Dragons coached teams.  It is not a conflict in practices or race day with any other team.  Want more racing?  Join us!

The team is excited to announce Catharine MacInnis as their coach.  Catherine has coached for the Rusty Dragons before, and some may remember her as a Race Starter at the GWN Challenge at Marilyn Bell Park (and other races).

The club is also happy to announce Diane Gropp and Kaola Baird as co-captains for the team.  They were co-captains of the 2021 mixed team that raced at the GWN Challenge.

GUNS n ROSES

This is the fifth year for this team. Join us and spend your summer months enjoying the paddling, camaraderie, and fresh air on waterfront that comes with this team. New this year is monthly video review - where we take video of team paddling and can look at it later to identify areas where the team can improve. This is an invaluable tool to becoming a better team. We have two dedicated co-captains identified very early on to help plan for an amazing year!
