2025 puerto rico - FEB. 7-9

We are excited to return to Puerto Rico again this year.  We are once again welcoming paddlers from anywhere in the world to come together with us to race on Condado Lagoon in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  We'll form mixed teams, women's teams, and open teams based on the numbers of those registering.  

Status Update (Oct 7, 2024):  Registration is now OPEN for racing at the 2025 event.  Use the blue registration button below, which opens a TeamSnap pop-up window where you can register.  You can register for 1, 2, or 3 teams (mixen, women, and/or open).  We suggest everyone registers for 2 teams to get the most out of the event!  Payment is separate from registration (see details below).

• Racing is on Saturday, Feb. 8th and February, Feb. 9th, with practices on Friday Feb. 7th (in the afternoon). 
• These are 10-person boats with each person being able to join 1, 2, or 3 teams (mixed, women, open teams). 
• Races will take place at the 500m, 200m, and 2000m distances.
  
• The location is San Juan in the north (Laguna del Condado), and NOT Ponce in the south where it was for many years.
• Travel and accommodations will be coordinated among participants.  
• Everyone is responsible for their own bookings, but we share what others are doing to help make it easier, better, and less expensive.
  
• Intended for experienced paddlers who want to paddle at an international event (and race in small boats).
• A WhatsApp chat group will be created for communications before and during the trip.
• Team dinners will likely be arranged for Thursday and Saturday evenings. 
  
• Side trips (optional) include...
     > El Yunque National Rainforest and hike up mountain trails (near Fajardo).  
     > Bioluminescent Bay (Mosquito Bay) on the smaller island of Vieques.
     > San Juan Fort historical tour (and downtown San Juan).

The cost is $120 CAD / $90 USD for EACH divisional team you register for.
Payments can be made via Interac in Canada to "This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it." or via PayPal invoice for our American athletes.

Refund Policy:  Payment is due upon registration.  This is important as we register teams with PR based on income from registrations and we base what divisional teams we register on this.  Should your plans change, we do understand things happen and we have a sliding scale of refunds based on how many weeks before the event that you cancel out. There is a full refund less $10/team if you cancel before Nov15, a 50% refund if you cancel in the Nov15 to Jan15 period (but just the $10 deduction if your team(s) are not short paddlers before race weekend), and no refund if you cancel after Jan15 (but a 50% refund if your team(s) are not short paddlers before race weekend).
